Egypt sends 173rd ‘Zad Al-Izzah’ convoy to Gaza with 4,945 tons of aid

CAIRO – 9 April 2026: The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) on Thursday dispatched its 173rd “Zad Al-Izzah from Egypt to Gaza” convoy, carrying around 4,945 tons of food, relief supplies, medicine, and fuel.

The convoy included around 2,185 tons of food baskets and flour, over 1,355 tons of medical materials and relief supplies, and more than 1,405 tons of petroleum products to support hospitals and vital facilities in Gaza.

In addition, the ERC provided essential winter aid, including over 5,810 pieces of winter clothing and more than 17,285 tents for those affected.
